In the tavern, I see Mephala on level 111, and I'm very happy about it. And why didn't I choose him as my starting hero?

In the second round, in the game against Forrest, I don't know why I chose this Rampart, which I don't like to play with. I chose Mephala as my starting hero, and Vik criticized me for it, saying that Ivor is much better... At least someone agreed with me :)
