I have just one question that bothers me: have many truly great metal bands emerged in the 21st century? I don't know of any (although, my horizons are quite limited; point me in the right direction if there are any). And how many appeared in the 70s-90s? Please name at least one newly formed metal band that has achieved worldwide fame in just a few years, like the giants Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden... But please don't give examples of all these modern mixes of metal with rap, etc. You can love the music (I listen to some myself), but it's still something different ;) It's too early to talk about the death of metal (many old bands are still successfully selling new albums and touring), but the fact that the musical genre is currently experiencing a decline under the "pressure" of more popular rap, hip-hop, and R'n'B is a depressing fact for fans of heavy music. However, this doesn't prevent us from listening to what has already been recorded, and a lot has been recorded...
