The philosophy of the twilight elves.
Shadows are not darkness. Shadows are born of light. But bright light is too scorching and brings death. Only shadow can offer solace. The size of a shadow depends on the size of the one casting it. The size of a soul's shadow depends on the size of the soul. We can love everyone; our souls are large enough for this. Therefore, we offer everyone a shadow, shielding them from the heat.
