How to effectively use quick battles (autobattles)?

Wow, it seems like you can't even discuss this in private messages. Quick combat can be useful sometimes.

So what, are you going to try online with 1 hydra against a Hive on level 12? Are you confident you won't lose? And in general, things like this, which are essentially bugs, should be banned, not taught how to use them. In general, I propose that using quick combat in situations where a battle cannot be won in normal mode (like 1 hydra against a Hive on level 12 or 18 with an un-upgraded hero) or can only be won with much greater losses should be considered a violation of rule 6 (a bug) and therefore banned.
