Hello everyone, it's been a while since I was last here, but nothing has changed; anyway, let's get to business. Meet My Foresttttttttttt Guardians!!!!
Forest Guardians.
Nature gave us life,
Trees preserve it for nature…
Also known as the Cult of Nature, half-elves; orcs call them the Nightmares of the Forest.
Colors: green, gold, marshy.
Revered deities: They honor no one but nature and trees.
Philosophical Foundations: We have taken an oath! Norent paid with his life for breaking it, and left us a testament to keep it! We must uphold it, or we shall suffer the fate of the Savior.
The Oath of Norent Celebrand the Savior: I swear to protect the trees and nature from all strangers. To relentlessly pursue the enemy and kill them quickly and mercifully! Nature saved us and sheltered us when the whole world turned its back on us! From this day forward, those who do not accept this oath, or break it, shall be branded with shame and killed for the salvation of the entire half-elf race! So be it!...
Country/Kingdom: The Virgin Forests of Eregeons.
Capital: This concept is completely absent for half-elves; all their forests are linked in a single chain, like the organism of a living being, and interact with nature just as the Guardians themselves do.
Emblem: Sacred Erudenm (on the flag), Bow and Dagger of Shadow (above the mine/city, etc.)
Description: Followers of Norent Celebrand (the future Savior), the first half-elf in Ashan. Having fled from the entire civilized world, they live in harmony with nature and protect the trees that saved them by the will of Nature when everyone turned away from them. Relative physical weakness is compensated for by agility and selfless initiative.
They do not build cities or buildings at all. Instead, they live in a kind of hammocks woven from Erudenm leaves (that is what they call the sacred trees where mages study, and under whose canopy, in burrows at the roots, Beorns live).
They lead a gathering lifestyle and engage in forest beekeeping.
In daily life, there is a strict division among the elves. Women cannot fight or engage in military affairs; instead, they weave hammocks, cook, gather food, and raise children. Also, some of them train bears and make magnificent armor from fallen bark and Erudenm leaves, which are practically equal to metal armor in strength.
Men are divided into Keepers and Guardians, which is determined at birth and remains for life. Keepers tend to the Erudenms and trees in general, which is why their bark and leaves are very strong and they live a very long time. Those who distinguish themselves particularly are admitted to the Sacred Erudenm, and there, having learned the secrets of nature, they become Tree-Speakers.
Guardians dedicate their entire lives to guarding the borders and secret paths of Eregeons. The borders and coastal zones are guarded by border guards or snipers. There are no better archers in Ashan or on the Islands. Thickets and secret paths are protected by Forest Shadows. Armed with daggers, they are extremely agile and can easily kill even superior enemy forces while remaining unnoticed.. Despite everything, the Forest Guardians are very noble and hospitable. They have a good understanding of sentient beings and immediately see their intentions. It is better not to approach them with evil intent; you'll be shot on sight.
Unique Ability—Unity with Nature: With each level, it increases the bonuses given to Forest Warriors while sitting in a tree.
Unique Skills: Fear from the Thicket—The movement speed of enemy warriors on the battlefield is reduced by 10%, and morale drops by 1 point.
Blessing of Nature—The hero gains the ability, on the map(!!!), to hide near a tree and thereby become invisible.
Will of Nature: Absorb a tree during battle, thereby restoring one's Mana.
Unique Feature: Capable of hiding in trees that they grow themselves. By hiding in trees, forest warriors become invisible, and therefore cannot be attacked until noticed + on top of everything, a defense bonus. While sitting in a tree, a warrior gains the ability of an unanswered attack and a chance to stun the enemy 10%-30% (depending on the hero's Unity with Nature skill level) by jumping from the tree over a distance of 1-3 cells (under the same conditions). By approaching within 1-3 cells of a tree (depending on the hero's Unity with Nature skill level) where a warrior is sitting, the enemy will see him, and therefore he can be attacked, but the defense bonus is not lost. If a warrior in a tree is attacked, he loses the capabilities: unanswered attack and other bonuses, except for the increased defense.
Hero: Volkhv—Specialist in Summoning and Salvation magic (will describe later). Unique Skill Unity with Nature.
Tactics: You can use teleport to send a unit (for example, a sniper) into a tree that you have prudently grown in the enemy's rear. Forest Guardians rely not on strength, but on agility. During battle, you can grow a tree, place a Tree-Speaker on it, and cover them from the front with a Beorn for protection. The entire battle is built around preserving trees, which give colossal bonuses to weak half-elves. Conversely, the enemy should try by all means to displace warriors from trees, or destroy the trees with the "Remove Obstacle" spell (Salvation School).
Castle: Special building—Sacred Erudem. Increases the bonuses provided by the Unity with Nature skill. Instead of a moat, there will be trees on 3 cells in front of the walls that cannot be destroyed and can be used as ordinary ones. The walls themselves will consist of non-swaying, densely standing trees. Instead of a central tower, there is a mountain from which several trees protrude, the largest of which is an Erudenm.
Creatures:
Level 1
Follower: Students of the Keepers. They are only learning, but have already developed patriotism and nobility within themselves, which helps them keep the Savior's oath. Trained in basic techniques of using a combat stake. Capable of hiding in trees.
Ability: Forest Warrior—hide in trees
Fanatic: Trained and seasoned Keepers who only need to further perfect themselves. Noble and faithful to the Oath, they heal trees, thereby increasing the survival chances of the entire army.
Ability: Forest Warrior, heal trees.
Level 2
Khajiit: The only well-protected warriors in the half-elf army. Their ancestors waged war with the half-elves, as a result of which the Khajiits joined the Cult of Nature, and Norent the Savior committed suicide; since then, all the deadwood from the Plague Forest is given to the Khajiits for their trade. The Khajiits have excelled in smithing and forge magnificent armor, which however the half-elves refuse to wear as a tribute to Norent.
Ability: none
Khajiit Hunter: Well-protected by an iron cuirass with camouflage and armed with a first-class iron spear, Khajiit warriors are excellent close-combat fighters. Slow due to armor.
Ability: Spearman—attack across one cell. If a Khajiit hits at 0 cells distance, damage is reduced; Forest Warrior
"Since I am in a hurry (please forgive me) with the units, I will describe them briefly from now on, but I will describe one in detail, he is my favorite ."
Level 3
Jäger: Jägers protect the trees inside Eregeon along secret paths. Armed with a knife.
Ability: Forest Warrior.
Forest Shadow—Armed with a dagger. Ability: Forest Warrior; Shadow—Unnoticed transition from one tree to another within the character's movement radius; Fear—A warrior approaching a tree where a Forest Shadow is sitting will, with a 30% probability, retreat 5 cells from the tree in a random direction. The Shadow will remain unnoticed.
Level 4
Border Guard. Ability: Forest Warrior; Archer and everything that follows from this.
Sniper. Ability: Archer: Sniper's Arrow—full damage regardless of distance and obstacles.
Level 5
Priest of the Cult of Nature—Tree-Speaker (both are mages and Forest Warriors, only the latter is cooler.)
Level 6
Bear (no abilities)—Beorn (roar—reduction of initiative for all living beings of all hostile factions, and increase for Forest Guardian creatures)
Level 7
Tangle (no abilities)—Face of Nature (my favorite ;) ) Large, slow, consisting of several trees. It was created by nature from all the plants that exist in Ashan, and endowed with a beast's heart and soul. Possessing a weak attack, the Face of Nature is excellently protected and has giant health. But most importantly, you can place a warrior(!!!!!!!) with the Forest Warrior ability on this "tank"!!!
To avoid imbalance, warriors can be placed only once, and only on one Face of Nature available in the army!!!! Isn't he just cool!!! Imagine how cool it is to sit like in a tank! Hence the abilities: Vulnerability to fire and "Tank"!!!
Soon (in a week and a half) I will continue describing the race, I hope you are interested and liked it! See you soon, as for me, I'm off to Sochi as a tourist!!!!
Respectfully: Uke-by_HoMM![Zavylon]
