Regarding "getting completely crushed by Necromancers" - isn't that me?:D We both were playing for the first time, and it was late at night, so we were already falling asleep... (specifically, one artifact remained unexchanged). Although my opponent had a very unconventional strategy that completely threw me off: I was playing Conflux-Tower, and he was playing Necromancer-Inferno (both random, because this map is a nightmare:D). I simply took the Large Shield and, in addition to my mages and titans, also included Storms, and for support, I added harpies with psychics and a nag with djinns. Fearing berserkers, I somehow arranged the elemental creatures in a cluster on the tactical map (and I somehow overlooked the ball in the bonuses) - and imagine my surprise when, on the first turn, all my units were berserked:eek: (honestly, I was cursing in ICQ and shouting that it was some kind of TE bug:smile51:). But besides Water, I also had Anti-Magic and Earth - I easily got out of it and first shot down 40 slowed liches, and then the rest of the evil creatures:) . Although I played rather clumsily. But I enjoyed it and am generally ready to try playing Necromancers and lead them to victory intelligently (even without borrowed horses:) ).
P.S. In my first game with Valentin, I played Necromancer-Humans against Citadel-Humans and lost with 500+ skeletons, a potion, and a cloak (there were also Offense and Air - this was played on SOD), but I simply played STUPIDLY:o.
