2) When capturing a maximum-level crypt using your suggested tactic, my losses are 13-16 knights, and all the dwarves survive (maybe I'm doing something wrong?). I tried to slightly modify your tactic: in the second round, have the elves immediately attack the vampires (then the second round remains unchanged), and in the third round, instead of running up and to the right, run to the right to the end, to the 5th horizontal line from the top. The losses are at most 2 dwarves and 6 knights, if after the second attack, 37 knights, the vampires don't survive, or 9 knights and 1 dwarf if 1 vampire remains.
