Pop music and your opinion about it.

Regarding not listening to the other person – that’s a very accurate observation. Do you even read what’s written here? Only kj1313 said that he doesn’t like anything other than metal, while the others also like other music, they just prioritize metal. And now you’re talking about conservatism and not listening to the other person.

I apologize. I somehow missed all those displays of tolerance that you’re referring to. Quite the opposite, actually.

I can’t stand it! Especially STASYA ZADOROZHNAYA!!! Even her name annoys me! Metal will always live on, pop music will die immediately!

I only listen to and play Metallica, IM, Rammstein... sometimes Russian bands like Aria, Lumen, etc. :) Sometimes I listen to some rap. And of course, house music in clubs – you can’t do without it :)

The most annoying thing is that people who listen to this garbage often turn into the same kind of idiots...

And by the way, no one has answered clearly how artists like Elton John, for example (the epitome of pop music, which no one will deny), have “sinned” in terms of the complexity of the composition, the quality of performance, and the beauty of the music.

And seriously, it’s fundamentally wrong to consider all symphonic music to be equally “light” or “heavy.” Compare Chopin and Prokofiev – that will be approximately the same difference as between ABBA and Metallica (by the way, it was said about Prokofiev that if he had lived in our time, he would have written heavy rock :)). You may not notice this difference as much as their contemporaries – but in a couple of centuries, the difference between our pop music and metal will also be just as imperceptible. It will simply be “music of the late 20th – early 21st century.” :p
