In French, everything is more serious, of course (I'd even say it's more boring). Ours is a bit simpler, but more fun. I won't comment on the vocal data, but it's still comparable to pop music.

Yes, no one expected you to be affected (by the way, what does that mean? Something about chickens, I think). But, of course, we had too optimistic hopes that you would still feel the difference. Well, then at least look at the opinion of the world, if your own stereotypes of black, shaking hair and the terrible roar of amplifiers prevent you from doing so. Piaf doesn't sweep the floor with her hair, she doesn't drown out port wine in the basements – it's pop music, definitely. :)
