Do you really think your comment will inspire this sophisticated metalhead to listen to Piaf or Aznavour? Gur rightly noted that many here defend metal more for image reasons. They simply won't broaden their musical horizons; they're not interested in that. I can tell you, "Want to listen to what Madness is?" and you'll listen because you're interested in learning something new. But for most, the main thing is to prove how incredibly heavy the music they listen to is.
By the way, guys, I have a suggestion for you: shouldn't we start a new topic: "How quickly did your neighbors' chandelier fall when you cranked up the REAL music to full volume?" In my opinion, it's an incredible criterion for the coolness of musical taste. :smile54:
