To be honest, I still don't understand the point of looking for something better when we already have something good. We have two large Russian-speaking gaming websites, and the GamersGate virtual network works perfectly well.

2? What do you mean by that? :)
1) If I understand correctly, the advantage of that network is a more convenient and faster way to find opponents... you don't have to search for opponents by their status in a chat program or message everyone with an offer; you just go into a room and see who's there and who has already created a game and is waiting for an opponent.
2) According to rumors, there are fewer bugs and crashes... it's more convenient, etc.
3) Automatic rating calculation + easy game statistics tracking
4) New people/opponents (foreigners, in short)
