Here is another question: when is it better to upgrade units in the Stronghold? Is an early bird upgrade justified? And what about wolves, if they aren't THE ones? As for bears, IMHO, it's very difficult to upgrade them early: what if there are neither crystals nor dwarf mines?
Well, regarding upgrades — it all depends on the situation and resources. For the Dragon Utopia, you need bears and ogres. Goblins and wolves can be upgraded on the second week. Especially if there are external dwellings of wolves. If a utopia or a battle with an opponent isn't in the plans, then upgrading bears can be postponed, but in any case, it shouldn't be delayed too long. Orcs with two external dwellings, for example, already become a force! With a couple of orc external dwellings, you can already take dwarf mines. Any external dwellings are only a plus!
