Which level 1 monster do you like the most in Heroes of Might and Magic V?

Whatever you say, assassins, scouts, and other members of this group are unmatched among first-level creatures – they have the best defense, mobility, and attack. There's really nothing to discuss here when considering practical goals.

You don't get many of them in the castle. They can't shoot. Their melee attack is strong, but their speed is too low for it. Personally, I don't like them at all. Dryads are more useful; they have huge speed, attack all targets, and can't be countered.
