Dialogues with Moderators

The whole point is that moderators should moderate the section, and higher-level admins should only intervene in extreme cases, such as when moderators are absent and personal arguments with profanity begin in a thread.

That's exactly what happened in this thread – it turned into an argument with profanity and harassment of another player. The fact that this player turned out to be a cheater was just luck. But what if he hadn't been cheating? Such unwarranted harassment isn't good.
Besides, someone already mentioned that we are all adults now and therefore should behave accordingly.
If the discussion had taken place in a more polite manner, nothing like this would have happened.
For example, recently a cheater was caught in Might & Magic IV. But here's the paradox: no one was banned after he was caught. Why? Because everyone behaved appropriately. Here's a thread about that incident.
