It is worth it, because there was a block of gr vivs guarding the hive and the passage to the secondary area, so there was literally nothing else to do. In the first week, you needed to collect the freebies, take crypts so that on 121-122 you could buy everything out at once, and take 2 hives and canned goods, then go to the secondary area, where 3 Dragon Utopias are visible from the overview. You might lose a lot, but money is needed for buying up on 121!!! That is exactly how I would have played that game, even if I hadn't seen the save, because the second road seems to lead into the snows, so there is nowhere else to go.
