Why not? Crusaders and Champions have very high offensive potential. The problem is that both sometimes suffer unnecessary losses due to their low HP (especially Champions), but nevertheless, with proper magical support, they are more than capable. The only downside of this pair is that they don't have the highest movement speed on the map, compared to Angels, but Angels are more difficult to build.
One of the advantages is the Crusaders' teleportation ability with the help of a well-developed Order mage with emeralds. After all, the initiative (or whatever it's called?) of the Crusaders is quite decent, and due to the double damage, there is a chance to defeat a hero instead of a creature. Here's your attack!
