Tactics for the Swamp (Fortress).

I have always believed that Korbach is the best "base" for a mage because the first turn is guaranteed under any circumstances.

I don't understand - WHY?

Why is the first turn always guaranteed if the upgraded dragonflies have a speed of 13 + Korbach's specialization 1 = 14. What about archangels (18), black (15), gold (16) dragons, or phoenixes (21)?

Yes, you still need to survive until the archangels and others, and you can't build phoenixes, but even the unupgraded birds have a speed of 16!

If it was meant specifically for the Tower, then even titans and upgraded giants have a speed of 11, which is less than that of an ordinary upgraded dragonfly (13) led by Tazar/Vistan/Bronhilda/Bron/Alkin.

In my opinion, if it's in SoD, then Tazar, Bron, or Vistan. But Tazar definitely rules.

If it's in TE, then there are already possible options: Vistan, Bronhilda, Alkin, and of course, Tazar :D.

And Korbach's specialization is good for a hero (he will run 100 movement points further))
