Let's make it simpler: if there's no refutation, the game is considered valid.
If there is a refutation, the decision will be made by the judges.
Actually, yes. That's a good idea.
But sometimes (even very often) it's interesting to read the version of the losing side; sometimes it's more interesting than the reports of the winners :) . And just reading excuses and justifications is fun!
