Tactics for the Swamp (Fortress).

If anyone can advise, please tell me how to play as Fortress. I play with friends in Heroes, and I can win with other factions, but I haven't won even once with my favorite, Fortress. Please advise on tactics, which heroes to use, and which buildings to construct.
