They drink! It's a well-known fact. I even have a picture somewhere... What prevents them from drinking it? Just because they have big heads doesn't mean that hangovers affect them much more than other users of this wonderful drink. I also think they can get rid of the intoxicating effects with not-so-powerful spells. Healing wounds of the second circle will do just fine.
