You need a Porsche Boxster. You go to the dealership and say: "Guys, I'd like that black one. But take off the wheels, I don't need them, I have my own. And while you're at it, remove the seats and the steering wheel." I wonder if you'll get a wild, unrestrained laugh in response, or just a look of incomprehension. ;)
Think of the OS as part of the product you're buying. If you don't like it, feel free to build your own.
