This band is amazing... I discovered them four years ago, quite by chance. I read in some music magazine that a new album by a heavy metal folk band had been released... I saw their group photo, and I became curious - what could seven healthy guys be doing in a band? I went to their official website. And when I found out that each of them plays two or three instruments, I was completely blown away and ran to buy the album. I got hooked almost immediately - the sound is very unusual, there's both symphonic and chaotic elements in equal measure... The style is hard to define - there's a significant amount of gothic influence, just as much folk, a little bit of death metal (especially in the lyrics), a little bit of Scottish music (bagpipes are the best), and all of this is driven by a powerful heavy metal engine. To be honest, I like In Extremo's music much more than the vocalist's voice. By the way, their name is definitely translated as "To the Extremes." And it should be noted that it perfectly suits these guys - the rhythms are incredibly energetic! I don't understand how they divide the fees from performances and album sales... there are so many of them :smile26: My favorite album is Mein razend Herz, I really love listening to it in winter. It warms me up! :)
