"Ashes' Will" - "The Last Soul" [2nd campaign, 1st mission]

Hello everyone. Can anyone help? I'm playing the first campaign, the "Last Soul" scenario. I can't enter the one-way portal; it's as if something is blocking it. What should I do? I've killed everyone who was in the way, and I have one week left to capture the last castle. But the hero won't move.
