The gameplay is truly worthy. But no matter how much I look at the fifth installment, I don't see any reason for it to be called the fifth. There's a game – Heroes of Malgromir – with gameplay similar to Heroes. But are they really Heroes? The spirit is completely different, a different world, different rules. The same goes for the fifth installment. A different world, different rules, a different game. It's not the fifth, but rather, let's say, Heroes of New Worlds, or something like that. The fourth installment was set in a new world, with a radical shift in gameplay, and yet it deserves to be called part of the Heroes universe. But the fifth installment is quite self-sufficient. The developers themselves have disowned the past, everything except the brand. But a brand is not yet Heroes. That's how it is.
