Doubtful...Markel is a villain who wants to do bad things to Isabel and her empire, while Railag is the opposite.

What does "bad" mean? If Markel wanted to get rid of Isabel, he wouldn't have stopped Nicholas the vampire. The latter would have certainly devoured the poor girl.
