Well, let's not argue about the skill of playing Heroes, because I have 10 years of experience, and I think you have at least as much. And yet, it's easier to "produce," so to speak, Phantom Dragons, even if they are weaker, but numerical superiority is still superiority (again, in your words, you need to know how to use your troops). I also note that mages generally have a problem with resources, don't they? You need to consider a unit not only from the point of view of its strength, but also its practicality (the cost of building a structure, the cost of purchasing, the cost of upgrading, the speed of appearance, the usefulness coefficient in battle against natives/players/AI, and finally, rush =)).

Here, by the way, a Dragon Utopia can be easily defeated with just 20 Vampires and 450-500 Skeleton Archers, without any losses, respectively, for Vlad.
