Fantasy is the raw material for intuition. And intuition itself operates on the engine of curiosity. Intuition without logic and the ability to analyze facts is like reading tea leaves. "Tamed" intuition is foresight, a powerful tool that helps a person in life. The more developed the imagination, the further a person can see, the deeper into the future they can look. And intuition without imagination is called a "guess." This modest thing rarely leads to anything. :)
What a person uses intuition for is up to them. To analyze what is happening, to predict the future, for silly dreams, for cunning plans – the difference is not fundamental. However, intuition does not work when you sit still and do nothing. In a passive person, fantasy is in full swing – but it is of no use. It pulls the dreamer deeper and deeper into its depths, and their chances of getting out decrease with each foolish act. For active people, fantasy is a submissive slave, tirelessly working on the plantations of creativity. Or at least a devoted servant, keeping vigilant watch in the realm of intuition. Ask any writer – "how do you manage to clothe your ideas in the tangible form of paper pages and colorful covers?" And almost certainly they will answer: "I grab myself by the scruff of the neck and sit down at the computer/typewriter. And inspiration... well, it has to obey!"
