Please register me for the tournament:)
And I have a couple of questions about the rules: which hero should I leave with the zombies (the starting one or does it not matter who they are given to)?

It doesn't matter. As long as it's just one.

And I'm kind of slow, but if I save the game myself and also rely on autosave, will that be counted?

Autosave is an automatic save that occurs when you skip your turn. So, if you save before clicking "pass turn," it will be the same as autosave.

And my last question - why is the tournament in the first post listed as being from 2008?
Thank you in advance.

Here's the thing. "Best of the Best" was originally planned as the last, final tournament of the year, but the deadlines have shifted, and significantly so :(
