Do you consider yourself a Hero?

I don't consider myself a hero, as I am a greedy, arrogant creature and will never do anything for others.
I can't call anyone a hero either.

In my opinion, every person is selfish to some extent, some more, some less, but selfishness is an integral part of our existence, isn't it? Even the most selfless act can have a selfish motive. By agreeing to go to the store for bread, we successfully avoid a scandal with our parents, which could have happened if we had refused. In doing so, we make our lives easier and save ourselves from the unpleasant feeling that usually appears after unpleasant conversations with loved ones. It's not that this always happens everywhere, sometimes it's impossible to even think about it, everything happens as if on its own. Sometimes, perhaps, there are cases when a person does good from the bottom of their heart, as it is called, without pursuing any selfish gain, even subconsciously. Perhaps such a person, a person ready to sacrifice himself not only for loved ones and friends, but also for people in general, even strangers, can truly be called a hero. In principle, my last sentence is an interpretation of Vis-Trit's saying:

I believe that a hero is someone who is willing to sacrifice something of their own for the common good (from their point of view).
