I suggest removing the "Automatic morale balancing" feature, as it is unnecessary. I believe that users who have contributed significantly to the portal and rightfully received a +++ rating should not receive a --- rating simply for being absent from the forum for an extended period. I also suggest adding a popularity counter (in our case, reputation) below the avatar, which would increase or decrease accordingly. All commented morale increases/decreases should be recorded in the user profile so that they can be reviewed, say, in 3 years. Sincerely, VDV_forever
