I agree with you that what is written is indeed childish and sometimes it was not interesting to read. But the idea itself is not bad; you can slightly adjust the plot, but in my opinion, it is very suitable for a campaign, especially with a journey through the islands, completing various tasks, and completing it in speedrun mode.
