This is a consequence of not having enough money to buy out the starting territory at the beginning of the second map. I decided not to go for the secondary swamp territory, where I might get stuck, but instead went for the Barbarian territory. I spent a long time on my starting territory – there was simply no way to get to the secondary territory. And I was actually planning to go for the Ulia territory, but then Kirya showed up... My plans changed drastically.

But I'll still note that in tournament conditions, at the 4-minute mark, it's not as simple as it seems when you're just analyzing the game afterwards.
