I've encountered the following problem: from time to time, data exchange suddenly stops, making internet access impossible, although the connection still appears to be active. Reconnecting doesn't help at all; only restarting the computer does. Moreover, if there's intense data exchange (downloading), the probability of this disconnection is higher than when the system is idle or under minimal load (e.g., using a messenger and a browser). This problem didn't occur on Windows XP SP2, but it appeared on Windows Vista Ultimate SP1. The "symptoms" resemble the Generic Host Process for Win32 error, but all the necessary steps to fix it have already been taken, so it's probably not related to that. I hope someone knows what can be done about this.
