As far as I know, in Russia, especially in large cities, the internet is excellent compared to ours.
Here, we have a real problem with it – there's a monopolist who charges exorbitant prices and provides very poor quality service. And this is the capital! It's very sad.
Although there are a couple of alternative providers, and I use one of them (a cable internet/TV provider), their quality isn't much better either:smile05:.
In general, I use a 0.5 Mbps unlimited plan for... well, something around 1600 rubles/month. In principle, it's enough for me – mostly for browsing, and occasionally downloading music or other small files. It's glitchy, though...
P.S. When will civilization finally arrive here?

For the first 2-3 days, it's fine, but then my brother completely uses up the traffic. And from 100 Mbps, there's... I don't know how much left, but my nerves can't handle waiting for pages to load.
12 GB? O_o... that's great... But I only have 2 GB... And it costs about 590 rubles... Sigh...
You guys are getting something mixed up – a 100 Mbps channel:smile52: – that doesn't exist... even some providers don't have that kind of channel.
100 Mbps is probably the speed of a local network.
