I generally spend 2-3 times less real time than quite experienced players.
A trend I've noticed is that the better a player is, the more time they spend on their turns. If they respect the opinions of weaker players and take 2-4 minutes per turn, how will they differ from them? I don't know, but I enjoy losing to better players; I don't get any satisfaction from winning against beginners.
