I confirm. The Amulet of the Elements should have been equipped regardless. Valya didn't gain any magic skills in any of the 8 squares, and she also saw how Tazar was flying and teleporting, clearly knowing all the skills of level 5, so she should have equipped the Amulet. But the most frustrating thing was getting stuck in the snow and swamps. There weren't enough heroes in the chain to quickly transfer all the troops to the capital.
