Oelm (red, Swamp, Tazar, Crag Hack, Tazar) def Aldegir (blue, Inferno, Pyre, Solmyr, Pyre) 2sm4d(3) 247

The longest game, and my most undeserved victory. I started off great, on day 2 I had 8 heroes, found 4 external dwellings of Gnolls, 1 of cows. By turn 115 I captured two Titan secondary skills. The plan was to sweep through the Medusa dwellings, take the cow external dwelling, build Hydras with a Citadel, and on the second day take the 3 scouted Sawmills. But there was a break in the game, after which I messed up my plan. I went to the Medusa dwelling for lots with the wrong hero, and I had a choice to lose a day or go in without Wyverns. I go in — of course I hit 8! Only about 30 Gnolls and 5 Lizardmen survive. The plan is ruined, Crag got Tactics and Air and became the main hero. At home Hydras are in the Citadel, I didn't take the external dwelling, so I didn't build cows. On day 2, Crag goes to break beehives, I play the fights poorly, my mind was far from the game:) I lost a decent number of Wyverns, I'm getting ready to break the horde of Medusas for Pandora's Box, but then Solmyr shows up, I have to split my forces, about 17 Wyverns, I decide to bet on mass Haste. Solmyr attacks, I position incorrectly, and the Wyverns didn't kill 3 Angels:( So I get hit by Chain Lightning, the Gnolls are wiped out. Anyway, I killed the enemy troops, but Elementals appear. A full trade-off, Crag and Solmyr vanish into oblivion :smile34:
In the next continuation, I played noticeably more carefully. Tazar became the main hero, I take the Red Orb in a Treasure Chamber that had been revealed back on day 2. Then I slowly build up my army, always keeping a chain to the main town. I just can't get Logistics :smile48: And in the snows, the Golden Bow has long been visible. At level 16, I grab Pathfinding and go for the bow. And here I make a move that almost ruined everything. I go with a scout hero to the left of the bow and see an artifact +3 to all stats. Well, I couldn't resist, I fight for the artifact, I get Offense in the last slot, Manticores are nearby, I kill them and grab two Pandora's Boxes. And right in front of the bottleneck, Pyre appears (it turned out the opponent had also scouted this zone). I split my forces with Tazar, buy back what I can, move the troops away. I leave a scout hero with 3 cows, Pyre doesn't take the bait. And here's the key moment: there was a choice to attack Tazar or capture my town. If they had captured my town, my chances would have drastically decreased — there were still about 200 Gnolls sitting there, 80 Dragonflies, 60 Greater Basilisks. But Pyre attacks Tazar with 20 cows. I have no money, I type "I surrender" on the keyboard, but for some reason I don't press Enter. And oh miracle! The enemy can't reach the town. My mood changes. Now I buy a few more troops. And Tazar has about a third of all the troops, but that's still not bad! Aldegir is far behind in meat. And I put on the Orb. Which clearly surprises the enemy :D

I fought the battle normally in terms of power parameters; Pyre is slightly ahead, but 30% armor is an argument. Pyre surrenders, I go to break the bottleneck the next day, but a capitulation soon follows.

After the game, I checked — without the Sphere it would have been much harder. Although if I had bought back all the meat and combined it, I would have had about a fivefold advantage. I think I would have won anyway through Anti-Magic, although Pyre had the Book of Earth, Book of Air, Expert Air and Fire (with Berserk).

Thanks for the tough game!

Looking forward to a tournament match on Jebus Cross.
