Those who either don't know how to create maps or are too lazy to do so don't like the Cherk map. In principle, it's more interesting because you have to think through various options, etc. I probably won't participate. But I think if half the tournament uses a random map and the other half uses the Cherk map, it would be a good compromise. An optimal solution, so to speak.
