Nightwish

Nightwish is a Finnish metal band that primarily performs songs in English. It was formed in 1996 in the city of Kitee. Nightwish's early work was characterized by a combination of the operatic vocals of former vocalist Tarja Turunen and the heavy atmosphere of power metal. This style is most often defined as power metal and symphonic metal. The voice of the current vocalist, Anette Olzon, is significantly different from the group's previous voice. Although they achieved success in their home country after their first single, they only gained worldwide recognition after the albums "Oceanborn" (1998) and "Wishmaster" (2000), with music videos that were successful on well-known television channels.
