You haven't even completed the king's brother's quest, nor have you been to Arlania and the swamps (the frog)... because the box can only be obtained after the royal quest with his brother, right? According to the description, you did this much later, or maybe the box was never activated, and you misunderstood something?

The frog won't talk to you until you've talked to the Count, so why did you sail on a raft?
