I completely agree with these points.
Having native villages and the computer in the center is definitely necessary (although this would significantly boost the Dungeon faction - 3 summoning portals guarantee almost 9 black dragons on levels 1-2-4).

So, it seems that besides dragons, you probably won't be able to use other creatures. Will it pay off? You can't place dragons in houses, after all.

With Stronghold, you can gather 12 bears with just one creature dwelling, without using a portal. Although, in the tests, out of 4 generations for Stronghold, I didn't place bears twice - building 3 castles is too difficult even for Jebus, so it turned out to be more profitable to place the other two creature dwellings, as they provided stronger and cheaper stacks than bears.
