Reports on online games and their confirmations (Winter 2009 season).

Wlk777 (Blue, Rampart, Kyrre, Kyrre) def Dubrovin Pavel (Red, Fortress, Tazar, Tazar) 2sm4d(3) 241. On 1.7 I revealed 2 respawns with Dendroids, 1 with Unicorns, 1 with Dragons but far away, built 3, 4 in Castle, started upgrades. On week 2 I cleared the respawns except Dragons, built 5,6, captured the Inferno secondary town; by this time my opponent already had his native secondary. On week 3 I built Dragons, cleared their respawn, took 2 cons (4+2), on week 4 I took a Utopia – level 3, which gave Shield of the Guardian, Book of Fire, Helm of Thunder. Along the way I found Boots and Gloves, took a 3rd Castle; my opponent recaptured it while I was in the Utopia, then I rushed to attack him. On 1-4-7 I overnighted in my native Castle; my opponent attacked (overconfidence got the better of me – 30 Wyverns and 60 Wasps did almost nothing against 16 Unicorns, 5 Green Dragons, and 5 Angels plus ~20 Dendroids with chaff like Centaurs and a few Pegasi; Berserk also helped). I thought my opponent would surrender – he decided to continue. Then I relaxed, captured all his Castles, and almost paid for my carelessness – I waited for him for a week doing nothing, during which time he powered up significantly and managed to capture my native Castle (empty, though). I gathered all my troops and attacked him on 2-4-1 in his Castle. In the contest between his Explosions and my Berserks – Blindness – Frenzy, the decisive role was played by my 60 Dendroids and 14 Gold Dragons (along with 29 Wyverns and 23 Unicorns + 45 Elves) – they beat 55 Gorgons, 45 Wyverns, Wasps, and nearly a hundred Lizardmen (all numbers are approximate). My opponent surrendered.
