You say that Elves are useful because of their skills?:) Perhaps the skills are well-designed if you're playing against Orcs and Humans:) If such an army plays against a Mage, with or without luck, it will be difficult. There are more important things for an Elf:) What is the average Specialist Archer (SA) level that Elves reach? And on what day? Do you absolutely need a mentor for this?
