What is your favorite ultimate ability for that class?

I don't think a mage with Spell Power can easily handle an equally leveled, well-developed (possibly also with Spell Power) hero of another faction. There are possible scenarios. The main thing, as I've said many times, is that the enemy might attack a little earlier. Then, the mage with underdeveloped Spell Power will have very few chances.

And Oora is my favorite mage. Especially in a long game. With Empathy and her native schools of magic, she can defeat any other mage with Spell Power (IMHO). True, getting Empathy without a mentor is not much easier than getting Spell Power. But it's safe.

I don't think that when a mage reaches Spell Power, he will have a small army.
But once he has Spell Power, he can take Titans and Rakshasa with him, and leave the rest in the city, because by creating Phantoms, resurrecting, and charming, the hero will become invincible.:smile08:
Regarding the situation if the enemy attacks earlier...
It's unlikely that he will do so if he has a large army. However, if it happens, the mage might lose most of his army...:smile15:
BUT... if he wins, he will gain a huge amount of experience and quite possibly Spell Power.
Gathering the remnants of his army in the city, he can calmly attack the enemy's capital, because he has such abilities as Earthquake and Control Machines:smile01: :smile01: :smile01:
