They hit harder and have higher initiative, but it's not worth paying several times more for them, especially for the upgraded ones. And as for the spectral dragons... I won't even comment. The Archangel, once a powerful figure in heavy armor with a huge sword, has turned into a cute little girl, and that's not the only problem. They also made the flight and attack animations frankly funny and silly. The devils turned out to be too simplistic. They no longer teleport as effectively as in Heroes 3 and 4, and they don't make such frightening sounds anymore. The Titan has been deprived of its elegant armor, and the melee attack animation looks clumsy. And all the dragons have become thin, small, and not as strong. The partial vulnerability to irresistible magic of the black dragon has completely infuriated me! What's the point of a mage learning irresistible magic if Armageddon will also kill the dragon?! In short, the black dragon from Heroes 5 doesn't compare to the black dragon from Heroes 4 in terms of appearance and power (that was a real dragon, a terrifying dragon!). And almost the same can be said about the Cyclops!
