Yes, you do. The DATA folder should contain the rmg.txt file with the template that you plan to use in the game.

In principle, you can create a combined rmg.txt file with several templates, but make sure that they are used for different map sizes to avoid overlaps in sizes.

For example, 2sm4d(3) for L+U and Jebus for XL-U. And nothing will be generated for other sizes.
