Necromancers are definitely powerful; no need to say more! But Dark Elves are cool too! They have powerful troops: minotaurs, lizards, black dragons... and combined with dark magic... I love them! And also Orcs! The idea behind them is great; they are the strongest attackers, and you can develop such a tank!
But darkness is not their forte - they probably won't have spells in their castle.
