The Hydra can be depicted in any way, but in Ashan, it's half-dinosaur. Arguing about this is pointless; just look at the structure of its body (without heads and necks)... I'm not criticizing Nival for making it this way, but you started arguing that it doesn't look like a dinosaur, etc...
There are others, but... they're all reptiles, not dinosaurs...
I just looked at the Hydra in the third game... it looks like a reptile, like a monitor lizard, only bigger...
And the Ashan Hydra is a three-headed sauropod. If you don't believe me, here's a brachiosaurus and a hydra; can't you see that they're related?:o
