The hydra you're talking about is completely unknown in what altered state it has reached our time. Drawings should not be taken as a basis at all. That's one thing.
The original source... it's not a fact that this source didn't steal it from somewhere.
For you, the Hydra is just the feat of Hercules. That's it, it's a dead end. You can't look any further. How many species of hydras are there in total? Perhaps thousands.

Well, if we're talking about the topic... then all these races and units are just a complete copy-paste and imbalance. All that's left is to call yourself Niva_link.
