I decided to start a thread about cheating and unfair play on Heroesworld, partly due to Paladin's posts. So, no one wants to play with someone caught cheating. Online gaming implies trust in your opponent. But cheating is like doping in sports – only a few get caught. Here are my suggestions for fair play principles on HeroesWorld:
1) Declare war on cheating and unfair play on HW.
2) Create a group of respected players (e.g., three) who will decide whether the fact of unfair play has been proven.
3) For proven unfair play and cheating, the punishment should be at least a disqualification from participating in HW tournaments for six months, removal of awards, and prize places in previously won tournaments. Possibly, a reduction in ranking points for the season.
4) To avoid re-registration by cheaters, set a threshold (e.g., 10 games in a season) for participation in tournaments. This is not necessary for well-known players who have not been caught cheating.
5) Consider a player's generally weak performance, but suspiciously accurate knowledge of the location of important objects and route selection as indirect evidence of unfair play
